Profile
Green Gate School was founded in 1970 as an American Primary
School. Realizing the need for a quality preschool program,
Green Gate pioneered an educationally based preschool for the
children of Montgomery. As the need for a comprehensive elementary
program arose, we added additional elementary grades. Green
Gate offers instructional programs for children 2 years of age
through sixth grade.
We are also proud to be the choice of many military and international
families while they are stationed in the Montgomery area.
Admissions
Green Gate welcomes children of any race, creed, color, or national
origin. We are a nonsectarian school. Registration for new students
begins in December each year. We encourage you to register early
to ensure placement. Preschool enjoys an open-enrollment policy:
no testing is required. First grade students are administered
the Standford Achievement Test. First grade children are accepted
by test scores. Currently enrolled kindergarten students are
tested during the spring semester. New first grade students
are scheduled a test date upon registration. Elementary grades,
second through sixth, must have a current report card with average
grades or above in all areas of study. Children may still be
required to test for placement. An interview may also be required.
